What do FDA food recall classes mean?
Class I, II, and III describe the health-risk level assigned by the FDA. They do not tell you whether your exact package is included—check the product and codes too.
Class I→Class II→Class III→
Class I
The most serious FDA classification: there is a reasonable probability that use or exposure could cause serious adverse health consequences or death.
Class II
Use or exposure may cause temporary or medically reversible health consequences, or the probability of serious consequences is remote.
Class III
Use or exposure is not likely to cause adverse health consequences.
